In her new book, İplikçi is handling hurting subjects like mining accidents and destruction of nature, in a very skilful manner, making her child readers to feel that there is always hope in the sunny gardens of olive trees.

Overview

After losing her father in a mine accident, Seher and her mother had to move to their great aunt Zerrin’s place, who they think is a weird old woman. The compelling math problems at school on one hand and tricky dealer Hulki who is trying to buy Aunt Zerrin’s olive grove for a mere song on the other, are making her new life much harder for Seher. However, thanks to her close friend Saniye, her wise aunt Zerrin and a corn of tasteful ice cream, the hope is still there for her.
